“Giftedness is not what you do or how hard you work. It is who you are. You think differently. You experience life intensely. You care about injustice. You seek meaning. You appreciate and strive for the exquisite. You are painfully sensitive. You are extremely complex. You cherish integrity. Your truth-telling has gotten you in trouble. Should 98% of the population find you odd, seek the company of those who love you just the way you are. You are not broken. You do not need to be fixed. You are utterly fascinating. Trust yourself!”

Wondering how to display and store your Hands On, Minds On Science and Technology Centres?
My friend Tina sent me some great pictures of how she set up the Biodiversity Centres in her classroom.

Everything can be packed up and put away when the unit is finished. It will be ready to go for next year!

IKEA Trofast Storage Container works PERFECTLY for
small spaces and allows students to take the bins to
where ever they are working in the classroom.

I created labels for the front of the bins, printed in colour, laminated and attached them with removable adhesive.

Laminated cards are kept together with shower hooks. I put several sets, along with the materials needed, in each bin so that more than one group of students can work on the same activity at the same time. This also works well for when you students work in pairs.

I take everything out of the bins and store materials and cards in a banker box, and plastic bin. This allows me to change up what is in the bins in the IKEA storage unit.  We're ready to start Matter next week!
