“Giftedness is not what you do or how hard you work. It is who you are. You think differently. You experience life intensely. You care about injustice. You seek meaning. You appreciate and strive for the exquisite. You are painfully sensitive. You are extremely complex. You cherish integrity. Your truth-telling has gotten you in trouble. Should 98% of the population find you odd, seek the company of those who love you just the way you are. You are not broken. You do not need to be fixed. You are utterly fascinating. Trust yourself!”

Proud Canadian Teacher Blog Award

I am honoured to be presented with the Proud Canadian Teacher Award from a fellow Canadian blogger, Patti from {Madly Learning}.

In the spirit of the award I going to make sure that my followers know that almost all of my products are FREEBIES.  They are also aligned to Canadian/Ontario curriculum.  Visit my store at {Teachers Pay Teachers} to download a variety of free products to use in your classroom, or to share with others.  One of my recent favourites is the {Chalkboard Style Classroom Quotes}.

Another one that might be helpful to Ontario teachers (but is applicable to all teachers) is the {Key Words for Standardized Testing Posters}.  Using these throughout the grades and throughout the year will help students become familiar with the types of language they will encounter when writing standardized tests such as EQAO.

    1. Thank you Julie! I try to stay positive, no matter the situation. I guess that is one of the things that makes us teachers isn't it? We couldn't keep at it day after day without a positive outlook! I appreciate that you stop by and leave me such kind comments on my posts. I feel like I have found a new friend in you! Have a great week! Are you back at school yet?

    1. You are welcome and thank you! Those EQAO posters were a labour of love for sure. They took me ages to finish so I could use them during the testing this past year. I don't regret it though, they turned out nicely and I used them to cover up materials in my room during the testing.
